Abstract. The paper describes the phenomenon of prosocial and antisocial human behavior. The authors present the modern theory of social behavior and prove the urgency of conducting the comprehensive research for identifying common combinations of genotypic and phenotypic individual features which consistently reveal the specific forms of prosocial and antisocial behavior. The paper contains the analysis of basic features of prosocial and antisocial behavior with the aim of their arrangement. The authors differentiated the behavioral manifestations of social human activity and used the dual characteristics of individual types based on following combinations: prosociality – antisociality; activity – passivity. For substantive evaluation of selected concepts they implemented the selection of standard indicators of psychological, psycho-physiological and physiological status, reflecting the specific character of human social behavior. The methods allowing to maximize the whole range of personal characteristics of the individual provide the quantitative assessment of the typology of higher nervous activity, character accentuations, the degree of extroversion and neuroticism, the general level of nonspecific reactivity of the organism. The study includes the correlation of specific behavioral indicators of status characteristics, personal characteristics and level of human social activity.

Key words: typology of social behavior, classification of social behavior, complex forms of behavior, prosocial behavior, antisocial behavior.
