Abstract. The subject of the article is the double evolution of commodification from technology of spiritual processes transfer to the commodity production with the subsequent transformation of the resulting product in the type of “new spirituality”. The changes in home education over the last decade became the object for supervision. They are manifested in a change of priorities: not a person, but their future role becomes the center of pedagogical efforts application. The educational simulations are formed due to false goals. The aim of the study is the attraction of public attention to the variety of educational reforms as a consequence of which the individual (teacher and student) find themselves in the relations of commodity and services, being deprived of the conscious freedom of choice. Comparison of the past and the present experience of school reforms, the analytics of the phenomena accompanying this process helped to reveal the relationship between the commodification, which appears as a product of historical, axiological, socio-economic ways of modern development, and weakening of interest in Russian language and home culture. The destruction of the natural beginning in education led to appearance of the artificial and inhumane phenomena in the society, and understanding their nature is possible only through the prism of “commodification” of knowledge and education of man. Scientific substantiation of counter process of the de-commodification should lead to the comprehension of role of new social institutes in the context of revival of spirituality and ethics.

Key words: commodification, culture, education, mutation, simulacrum, ideology.
