Abstract. The author attempted to analyze the peacekeeping ideas in the Russian philosophy of the beginning of 20th century. The author of the article differentiates the concepts of peacekeeping and pacifism, presents socio-cultural factors of unpopularity of pacifism in Russia and puts forward the evolution of peacekeeping ideas from classical pacifism to liberal.
