Abstract. The article compares the values of the knowledge of evolutionary epistemology of hypothetical realism and evolutionary epistemology of critical realism. The author concludes that the hypothetical evolutionary epistemology realism reflects a pessimistic mood on the possibility of cognition, and evolutionary epistemology of critical realism depicts an optimistic one.
