Abstract. The orphanhood remains very important problem for modern Russian society and demands the urgent decision. The orphanhood as a social problem, first of all, affects the most unprotected segments of population, and it leads to antisocial development of society. The orphanhood and social orphanhood are resulted from the fall of moral culture in a modern family and the change of the children's and adults' attitude to their duties and functions. Despite the fact that a number of research and many achievements of mankind contribute somehow to the solution of the studied problem at federal, regional and local levels, the benefactors and modern youth of Volgograd region also take part in this process and take initiative in coping with this social problem.
