Abstract: The article dwells on the role of physical culture in the development and shaping of human embodiment. The role of social determinants in the development and legitimation of social behavior forms, corporal practices and ideals of human embodiment is revealed. The author testifies to the differense of the concepts «body» and «embodiment» and expresses the idea of human embodiment and physical culture problems identity.
