Abstract: This article deals with a new approach to economic policy to support the creation of regional research clusters. We address the topic as follows: some general insights into cluster management policy; the structure and the working of one of regional clusters – the cluster of social sphere. We describe the type of knowledge management within the social cluster which is considered to be crucial for discovering and exploring new directions for research.
