Abstract: The article features the basic directions of research and educational activities of Volzhsky Humanities Institute (branch) of federal state-financed educational institution of higher professional education "Volgograd State University", the forms, methods and results of these activities, and the role of the scientific research in the professional training of highly proficient personnel specializing in the humanities. The career growth of the most advanced Institute graduates is being tracked.
