Abstract: The article is devoted to the novel by S. Zalygin "After the Storm" and analyses the specific phenomenon of "ex-being" as a consequence of the global political experiment, based on the negation of traditional spiritual values succession. This leads to numerous victims and suffering of people, to hardships of their social adaptation and psycho-cultural self-identification. Human existence turns into elementary timeserving with the loss of primordial wholeness and integrity.
