Abstract: The candidate of philosophical sciences, doctoral student of the Department of political science, Volgograd State University. The article is devoted to the key problems of formation and further strengthen the facilities of ethnic tolerance in the public consciousness of the population of the Volgograd region. Analyzes the system of interaction of the bodies of local self-government with ethno-cultural public organizations and national - cultural autonomies. Published the results of indepth interviews of municipal servants of the Volgograd region on this issue.
