Abstract: The article deals with the relationship of philosophical concept of risk society and sustainable development model, points to the similarity of their philosophical, axiological bases. The article shows that the model of sustainable development involves identifying the causes and sources of risks, standardize measures to prevent, eliminate threats, offers a definition and interpretation needed by the philosophers who study the risks.
