Abstract: The article is dealt with the peculiarities of a man's value self-determination in a modern society. The author shows that its formation is mainly caused by the specificity of modernizational processes of the modern society, connected with the tendency to globalization, the strengthening of mass culture influence and the prevalence of consumers' relations in it.
