Abstract. The psychological explanation of the motivation of religious suicide terrorism is reduced to a natural consequence of the ascetic type of religious conversion. In the context of the religious ideology of terrorism the change of semantic fields as a key aspect of the conversion is associated with a particular type of relationship with God.

Key words: terrorism, religious motivation of suicide terrorism, the sense sphere, ascetic type of religious conversion, revelational type of relationship with God.
