Abstract. The article includes the analysis of main social study results, carried out in spring of 2013 in Chelyabinsk on the issues of professional training and future employment of the higher education students. The research reveals low level of professional training and poor employment prospects of the higher education students in their professional field. The factors analysis of such conditions allowed make some conclusions. The author revealed that both indicators are positively correlated with the employment support of the organizations where students have their professional practice. Employment prospects are also positively correlated with the university applicants orientation on their vocations, high demand for their future professions at labour market and high income level, as well as parental influence on profession choice. The focus on low tuition fee is considered to have negative influence on employment prospects. Students' desire to work not in their professional field has negative impact on their professional training.
