Abstract. The research is devoted to the problem of social and age norms which is poorly studied in psychology. The relevance of this work is determined by the change of traditional ways of living, blurring borders between the main vital events that demand revision of age norms within the modern social situation. The empirical research was conducted within qualitative methodology. For studying this phenomenon the case-study method was used, where the case involved three generations of one family. Collecting empirical data was carried out by means of interviewing. The author confirmed the assumption that social and age norms are mediated by family history and are inherited from generation to generation. The article shows how certain norms become leading and imposed in traditions of one family, and the concrete standard behavior is adopted. In particular, gender features of cast are found. The author established prescriptive character of the maintenance events of an early maturity.

Key words: social and age norms, case-study, prescriptive norm, descriptive norm, standard trajectory of age development.
